I sell Jewellery and other bits and pieces on eBay. It's not bad for selling things as long as what you have for sale is sale able. Usually a normal add is under $3au. So this must come into your costs. The photos are a little time consuming, but if you are selling the same type of item, then it's not too bad, as you can go back and re list a similar item. The only drawback is that if the item doesn't sell, you still have to pay for the add, but if you re list it you do get some of the fees back, put it this way eBay is always in a "win win" situation.Make sure you cover your postage costs when selling your items, or if they are too heavy make sure you choose "pick up only".
If you look on eBay's site map you will find courses in your area to help you get started, or speak to friends and you will be surprised how many people do sell on eBay that will be able to give you a hand. Try and go for a price to start your bidding that helps you pay for your item and covers your costs, don't listen to eBay when they tell you to start lower to attract more buyers, because they will still make there fees and you might end up selling the item for that price and lose. Again as I said before, eBay always wins. Good Luck .If you need any help email me and I will give you my yahoo name so we can talk and I might be able to help you through your first item.

The best way to get started is to buy some stuff on Ebay. You'll get a feel for what sells by figuring out what you like to buy. It's also easiest to sell products that you know something about.

It's extremely easy to start selling. All you need is a credit card, and probably a digital camera and scanner. The hard part is selling enough to make a decent profit, and putting in the time to box and mail the products. That's another reason it's a good idea to sell a product that you're really interested in.

Don't invest thousands of dollars for products that may sit in your basement unsold. Start small. Let it grow (or not) from there.

Ebay is like a giant garage sell! It's great if you have access to products at a bulk rate, or just stuff around the house that you want to get rid of. Just like any resell, don't expect to always make what it's worth. You have to remember that the buyer is also paying the shipping cost, so to them, the purchase price is a combination of the shipping cost and the actual cost.

It's very easy to set up an account. Get your bank account verified b/c this looks a lot better to potential buyers. You can sell absolutely anything on Ebay. Anything! From floor tile to blue jeans to diet pills. You name it...people look for it on Ebay. You can make good money if get set up right.

Make sure you have a way to put pictures of your product on the internet. So you need a digital camera, or you'll have to manually transfer your photos to disk at Walmart or use your scanner. Just follow the step by step instructions on ebay, it's a very easy process. I buy stuff from Ebay all the time, and my experience has been great. I get bargains and I can find anything, absolutely anything I want!

Ive bought and sold a few things and have never had a problem. Just be honest about the description of what youre selling and treat they buyer how you would want to be treated. When buying and selling watch the persons ratings to make sure theyve been honest in the past. I try not to deal with people that have too many bad ratings.

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website.
