my computer has no floppy drive

i have exe file that will create floppy image suitable for making a bootable cd

There is no such thing as a ram floppy drive or virtual floppy drive. I think you mean getting a storage device that you can use on your usb port to function as a storage area.

Get a USB floppy drive. It's the best solution. That way you will never need to worry about it.

In the case of making a boot CD, use Nero to do it and it should work.

You need to create a new Bootable Data CD and then add your files to it.

A virtual floppy drive will not work as a virtual boot disk since it requires you to already have an OS running.

If you just need it to image you can try this... Haven't used it so no guarantees on how well it works.

Under any windows (98/XP) - make new directory, let's say C:\floppy, run a command prompt (Start->Run and type 'cmd' for winXP or 'command' for win98 and ). In the command prompt, type

subst C:\floppy A:

and you will have a new device A: , which contains the same stuff that the C:\floppy contains

it happened to me one time that it generate a drive:a after I install a usb driver.

actualy the real solution to your problem is grab the alcohol sw (image creator & burner) & install it to your pc, for sure youve gonna have an image drive. its tested.
