Yes it is absolutely is a threat. First of all, the Islamic - Israeli conflict is not any different than the old one. As a matter of a fact it is the same racist hatred coming of the Islamic states as it was thousands of years ago. (" Islam is the religion of the Sword")-
That was proven on Sept 11, and the other train bombings in the UK and in India. They are a threat to our stability because look at what that did our economy, it made a dent anyway. What is even more dangerous, is the fact that the leaders of the Islamic movement to try and take over the world, have no regard for the preciousness of life.
"Islamic Extremism", is actually a greater danger than that of fascism, and communism were during WW2, because they had a direct face, flag and place to place the blame. Now we are clouded by political correctness, searching for culprits hiding under mothers with baby's on their breasts, trying to reach the unattainable goal of routing out militias of countries who at face value say they are not connected, but in fact use the allusiveness of these terrorists groups to their battlefront advantage.

I think that it is, but that the threat to our country and way of life coming from Christian extremists is far more dangerous. Generally I'd say that you shouldn't have to choose between the two, but it seems that in supporting defense against the Islamic extremism we wind up promoting the Christian extremism. That's a very serious problem, and I want an alternative.

The American Way of Life is under attack from the Islamo-facists, from the United Nations, from the Illegal Alien Invasion, and from the leftists in the Democratic and Republican Parties who will not close the border and deport the illegal aliens who violate our laws and our sovereignty.
These threats are easily ranked:
1) leftists in the Democratic and Republican Parties
2)The Illegal Alien Invasion
3)The United Nations
4)The Islamo-facist terrorist whackos
The Islamo-facists threaten the American Way of Life, but they are only an outbreak of pimples and can be cleared up with the proper medicine.... but only if the #1 threat stops trying to lower America to Third World status....

It's now official: George W. Bush is a war criminal, in violation of both the Geneva convention and US criminal codes. [See also: International Humanitarian Law - Treaties & Documents] Predictably, however, the GOP is already making plans to make legal -after the fact -crimes that Bush has already committed.[See ABC News] There is no slicker way to exalt Bush above the law than to simply make legal the laws he's already broken.
I have more to say about ex post facto attempts to make legal the numerous crimes Bush has committed but first the Hamden decision to date: In Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, handed down June 29, the United States Supreme Court ruled that George W. Bush exceeded his authority. Neither the Congressional Authorization for the Use of Military Force, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), nor the so-called inherent powers give Bush a legal authority to set up military tribunals at Guantanamo.
For those of us who have maintained for some time now that Bush is a "war criminal" -who has breeched not only international conventions but also US criminal codes -the high court's decision is vindication. In effect, SCOTUS has said that for a period of some five years, the Bush/Rumsfeld/Cheney gang has been guilty of violating the Third Convention on treatment of prisoners of war as well as a US federal law of 1996 which binds the US executive to those relevant parts of the Geneva convention.
Predictably, a conspiratorial GOP is scrambling to let Bush off the hook -though he is most certainly guilty of violating US and international law. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., says that Congress will reverse the Supreme Court's declaration and Sen. Arlen Specter is already at work on the language of the bill. I submit to Sen. McCain that Congress does not have the authority to reverse a decision of the supreme court; it can only pass a new law addressing its objections. Moreover, there is no precedent for excusing culprits ex post facto!
Ex post facto is latin for "from something done afterward" or "after the fact". Ex post facto law is retroactive. On it its face, this is unfair but more importantly, unconstitutional

Yes, I think.
I assume you are an American. You have not forgotten the 9/11 incidence. You must be careful with them who think except for them, others are not fit to live in this world.
And our way of life and our country (India) is already under attack by the Islamic extremists. But, our Govt., is sleeping over it, because they think they will loose Muslim votes, if they take any action against them.

Of course not, only the Bush Administration have taken one incident and turned it into a possible world war. Liberals are not communists, nor Socialists. Look the word up in the dictionary. You are an educated fool.

I'm way too tired to discuss this any further. But I'm not too tired to thank you for saying "Islamic Extremists", rather than "Moss-lems", or "Ay-raabs". Islamic extremists are just that; extremists that act with Islam as back up. Although it's not really that great of back up for extremists. Muslims, we're kind of a peacful people at heart.

Oh I just can't resist this one. To quote DietyMike, "yes it is always under attacked by any extremist or any people who think they can force their way of thinking on us." Now my question is - are you by chance referring to George Bush and the current Republican lead administration?
