Walter Payton had one brother, Eddie, who was 2 years older than "Sweetness". Eddie was an awesome athlete, himself. Eventhough he was drafted by a major league team out of high school, Eddie went to Jackson State in Mississippi where he was an All-American in football. Eddie played in the NFL, CFL , and, the USFL. Nowadays Eddie spends his time coaching the Mens and Womens golf teams at he and Walter's alma mater, Jackson State U. By the way he's been coaching 21 years and has won coach of the year in his conference just about every year. His mens team has won the SWAC championship in 19 of his 21 yrs as coach. He's such a good coach the PGA honored him on the Golf Channel right around the 4th of July of this year. By the way, Eddie and Walter also had a sister, Pam.

he had a brother named eddie who also played pro football fro the detroit lions i believe
