The Bible is great literature; it provides advice as to how people can live in harmony with one another; and it gives us an idea about how people lived and viewed the world at the times the various books of the Bible were written.

However, it can not be used as a text for either history or science. It is necessary to remember that much of the world was viewed differently when the scriptures were written. So we can use the Bible as a guide for living and we can extract many things of value from it; but we cannot take everything in it as fact: there is much symbolism used throughout the Bible.

Well, i would say there are few better ways to tell of earth's history. Despite what scientists may say or think the Bible has never been disproved due to archaeological discoveries. Actually they have affirmed what the Bible says over and over again. For some very interesting info check out what Dr. Kent Hovind has to say about the Bible and earth's history at the web site below.

These "creation scientists" are putting their entire religion at risk. They're using science to try to prove events of the Bible, God, etc. In science, if new evidence comes out that something happens in a certain way, then you throw out the old belief. Are these "bible scientists" willing to throw out their beliefs if new evidence comes out.
Religious convictions should be rooted in faith, not science.

I guess it's your choice to visit the museum or not, and if you want to believe what they're putting out there then good for you. I just hope they have more then just one source for their information. I personally don't believe that the Bible should be the basis for our perception of history, but that's just me.

One piece of literature should never be used to tell the history of anything. We are taught that at Key stage 2! :D
