From what I've heard, the mucous plug is quite solid. Not liquid. I think you'd know it if you'd seen it. Good luck! Congrats!

Loosing the mucous plug should come come with slight bleeding.
Vaginal discharge does not come with blood.

BTW, I think you are asking about the plug that falls out near the end of pregnancy.

I lost mine this week...It started like a runny nose like actuall thick mucus and today it dropped out in a chunk and a bloody show followed....it will be think and clear at first then right before you lose it all it will have a bloody color to it....

The plug may have a bit of blood in it.

You'll know!
Unless it slowly disolves, it will me a large piece of mucus. Mine was a glob about and inch and a half in diameter. It can be clear or colored.

the plug kinda looks like snot-(slimmy boogers) and discharge don't
