So many ppl in the movie and music industry make disparaging remarks, lyrics, and commentary about Christianity and no one says a word. Mel Gibson supposedly made some anti-jewish cracks while he was drunk and hollywood wants to boycott him now. Maybe the jews in tinseltown should lighten up and shut up.

When a person makes an anti semetic remark, for no reason, i.e. someone just called you one or worse, it makes other minorities wonder what that person must think about them.
I am a Black Indian, and although I love Mel in his movies, (he's a cutie), I feel that his remarks were wrong. I also believe that he only did it because he was drunk, (he needs to control that too, and not let it control him and his actions), so if he erred in judgement while intoxicated, why not just apologize? Why let a beautiful career go down in flames because of an indiscretion? If he truly does not feel that way, then the burden of proof would be on him.Maybe a Jewish person did something to him at some point in time. We don't know that. He needs to clean it up. That would be protecting his career as well.

Truth is, Mel should apologize. But the Jews should first, for causing the whole mess in the first place.

See, as usual, people are not getting the entire story. The man made a movie about Christ and was withstood by the Jewish powers dominating Hollywood. The man lived under extreme stress because he made a movie about Christ. Why? Cause Jews hate Christianity. See, the bigotry started there, with Jewish hatred. Who are they to try and stop or pressure Mel for making a movie about Christ? They did just that. It was they who started the stress on his life. That stress was building up and hurting his career in a city dominated by Jews. When he got drunk, all of that stress just poured on out.

How does Hollywood become dominated by Jews? Who gets a movie? Who gets a promo? Who gets advanced? Why so many Jewish actors getting jobs? Are Jews promoting Jews, to the hurt of other non-Jews? Why am I anti-Semitic for pointing out bigotry?

Mel was not an anti-Semite. If he is now, surely, it's the Jews doing. How is a man supposed to respond to pressure like that? Except to hate them. (and still Mel doesn't hate them) And again, why do Jewish people have such a dominating stronghold over all the media and so many other areas of our lives?

There are so many movie stars and music stars that have been in the highlight for what they say or do. Mel gibson was under the influence of alcohol and probably doesn't remember what he said any way about the jews as he was so drunk. He has to face court as he was caught driving with a blood alcohol level 0.12 and will lose his licence any way . I think it is enough punishment for what went on and he has to suffer dearly for it as he rely on other forms of transport . He doesn't need to be boycotted out of hollywood for what came out of his mouth about the jews. When people get drunk a lot of people say alot of things which can hurt people feelings but we cope with it in our own ways.

I think he apologized because he was drunk when he said most
of those things and he felt bad later. However I don't think he
should have to defend any of his beliefs. People (not jewish people)
just go after him because he made the movie The Passion. I
never heard that the jewish organizations made any comments I
only heard that the Catholics were pubicly commenting on it.
I by the way am not Jewish or Catholic. I am lutheran. It seems
to me that its only Religious people that get scrutinized because
people seem to hold us to a much higher standard than the rest
of the world when we are the first to admit that we are sinners and far from perfect.

Jewish regulation, Torah regulation, says that if a baby is born of a Jewish mom, the baby is a Jew by beginning. in accordance to Torah regulation, the mum passes down being a Jew to her little ones. the father does not. the father passes down Tribal Lineage. the mum passes down being a Jew. So if a non-Jewish father marries a Jewish female, their little ones would be Jews yet will have not have been given any tribal association through fact their father has none. yet, if a Jewish father marries a non-Jewish female, their little ones at the instant are not Jews in accordance to Torah regulation. as a result he can't precisely pass down his tribal lineage, because they are not Jewish little ones. So the youngsters have lost out on the two counts there. there isn't any such ingredient as being "a million/2 Jewish". the two a guy or woman is a Jew through fact their mom became a Jew, or if their mom became no longer a Jew, then they do no longer look to be a Jew. P.S. The Reform Jewish flow, which became created interior the 1800s, has tried to alter for themselves this Torah regulation. they have created their very own regulation that announces that a baby is a Jew in the event that they are raised in a enjoyed ones the place Judaism is practiced. They did this through fact the intermarriage value in Reform Judaism between Jewish adult males and non-Jewish women is up around 75-eighty% and that they are basically breeding themselves precise out of life as Jews. although, changing God-given Torah regulation, for themselves, does not substitute that Torah regulation. It in basic terms skill that they do no longer look to be following genuine Judaism, or the Torah, and are doing as they want to, extremely.

Christians do their share of boycotting, too. Just watch Bill O'Reilly. Ugh, I can't stand him. Anyway, if he is sorry, then yes he should. If he meant what he said, then he shouldn't apologize for anything. He's entitled to his opinion like anyone else.

Christianity is a religion, something that a person belongs to by choice. Judaism is both an ethnicity and a religion.

You made a very good point. It seems that Christian bashing is an acceptable form of discrimination these days.

He was drunk and probably did not mean it. He should apologize just to make it go away.
