I am Jewish... I agree with Israel taking action, but think they made a strategic mistake. I think they should of went in with ground troops from the start. This would limit the amount of civillian casualties.
They are fighting for survival. Hezbollahs goal is clear, to distroy Israel... Rather than wait until Hezbollah grows to an even bigger army and attacks, they need to take care of the situation now.
Hezbollah is a terrorist organization responsible for many attacks in israel and other parts of the world. They clearly target civillians (if you dont believe me check out the daycare they bombed in the Argentina Jewish Center).
The only reason Israel is getting such bad attention is because it has better weapons. Even so, it is showing constraint using only 5% of its military power. If Hezbollah had the military power Israel did, there wouldnt be an Israel... They would kill all of them...
Israel apologizes for all civilian deaths... What about hezbollah? The only death they apologized for was the arab deaths in Israel.
Do you believe a arabs life is worth more then a jews? Or that all Jews should die? Because if you support hezbollah, this is what you support. This makes you a terrorist.
I fully support Israel, and those are some of my reasons.
That said, I feel for all the families affected by the air strikes. Personally i dont know if they chose the most affective methods for getting rid of hezbollah, but I am not a military expert, so I really dont know.

Israel problems are not just Jewish problems any more. It was more or less before 9-11. This day changed World forever. Israel is one on the battlefield. And if they loose, 9-11 will be everywhere. Radical Islam has concentrated its hatred on Israel. Its trying to win military, diplomatic, and ideological war. Its victory might be fatal for everyone.
Every day about 20 Jews gather to protest against Israel hitting Hezbollah in Haifa (between the missiles). And I know volunteers from Europe (Sweden and Norway), non Jews, that flew to Israel to help in fighting with terrorists. Everything mixed. And no one, lost their loved in 9-11 would be ever support any terrorists. Would you? Oh yes, you tell me that it is OK to bomb Hezbollah and it is not OK to bomb civilian population. Agree. Do you have better plan, if terrorists cowardly hide among kids, and shoot, and shoot, and shoot... If you start shooting my son, hiding among small kids, I will not let my son by hurt, I will shoot back to kill you. Yes, those kids, that might be hurt, too, are not responsible. YOU ARE!

honestly what would you do differently?
with Hezbollah's stated goal to fight until they over throw the government of Israel. and in the process they will kill every Jew they can.
Israel dose not want to bomb civilians. Think about it what good would it do them to kill women and children in Lebanon. The problem is that Hezbollah fights and hides among the civilian population.
And when you have an enemy whose only goal is to kill you what else can you do but kill him first?
trust me I dont want to fight I wish they would just stop and make peace but that dose not look like its going to happen unless one side loses
