No, not like a battery. Just like an employee maybe. You know how it is...you always gotta be good at what you do in the office or you get axed. Not immediately but sooner or later. Try not to focus your energy on that and start looking for opportunities to show your strengths. I always believe that the best revenge is to be better. So head up and show them what you got!^^

yeah I know what you mean. My boss is the same way. Instead of giving me a normal shift like 10-5 or 5- close she makes me work alllllll day so that I can't have a life. such as 11-8 or 1-10:30 To top it off we are understaffed so we work like dogs Good luck. Tomorrow I'm looking for a new job..you should too

Maybe, but then again you can use them the same way. Look at it this way, if you become too bright and outshine the others, then other employers will want you, and will offer more to you to come work for them.
Often this is the way it works.
