Expired protein shake?

What happens when protein shake expire? I have some dry mix weight gainer left over its 3 months after expiration date, and just wondering what’s damaging, harmful, unsafe, or risky about taking it. Thanks!

It just won't be very effective....it will be like taking nothing.

Buy a new one. I have Whey Protein downstairs, It costs $24 a bag.
