It is a 'Wh' question which needs answer in a sentence.. Eg: What made you decide against marrying the girl you loved?

There is another type of question. It is called, 'Yes or No Type'

Eg; Are you sure you don't like the girl?
The answer can be as simple as, 'Yes' or 'No'.

Hope this clear up things.
