Why are the graphics of a ps 2 games look different in an LCD tv? WHat could be done to make it look better?

Now I'm no expert on LCD's but I have noticed the same picture quality differences even with standard television viewing. I believe it has something to do with the refresh rate of LCD's. You might want to also check and see if there's an adjustment for the resolution, it might be possible to sharpen the images to your satisfaction.
