I think as long as they actually enter the house, then yes.

I'm not sure what the laws regarding justifiable homicide are in AZ. but here in Michigan they are trying to change the law that says if they are in your home....One...you no longer have to warn them that you are prepared to use deadly force.....Two...that you have to make every effort to escape through a back door or window....and Three...you must call 911 and advise the operator that there is an intruder, that you are armed, that your life is in imminent danger and that you are prepared to defend yourself with deadly force.
Oh by the way....In Florida...you can shoot and ask questions later.....Crime by forced entry has fallen in the state of Florida by 40 percent in the last six months.
Just an extra note.....They are also trying to pass a law that will forbid the intruder or the intruders family from filing lawsuits against the defender for damages or medical bills...assuming the intruder survives.

The law varies but basically the intruder has to actually enter the home before the home owner is considered to be in imminent danger of life to be legally able to use force.
You can not shoot someone that is at your door. That is what 911 is for. The act of cutting the screen may only show "intent" to enter.
So for your example that they did get in? Then shoot! Aim and shoot and make sure you hit. (After they cross the threshold of the home)
A person, (4 men) at her door cutting her screen is great cause for alarm! If she has a gun and knows how to use it then do so.
It's called justifiable homicide. Charged but released after a court hearing if all looks well for the prosecution.

As far as killing that does depend on the state law's but their were 4 of then and it is obvious they had a weapon to cut the screen. I know most states require them to be some what away from a any doors that go outside and they can't be facing them as if they are trying to leave but in my opp. If I thought my life or a family members life was in danger I would balst their *** into next week. Try and buy some security decals (Ebay) for all doors and windows to try and scare them.

By all means. Trespassing, private property intruding, making another person feel uncomfortable, provoking self-defense mechanism. Actually, the question here would not be "would she be justified?" but "how's she going to get rid of them once they're done with?" If they think they can break the law and enter somebody's house without their consent and a fair reason (from OBJECTIVE point of view), they should think a little ahead, 'cause somebody else might have to break the law as well... and a few bones.

I live in FL so I'm not sure but here if you attack them even breaking into your house it is advised that you kill them because they can turn around and sew which has happened..Once a man broke into someones home threw the garage but the door to there house was locked so he couldn't get in and could not get back out the way he came in so he was stuck in the garage eating dog food till they got back for vacation.. when he sewed them for illegal confinement or something like that.
Nowadays it seams the laws protect the criminals more than the victims

She could have because it was self-defense meaning she was in fear of her life and it was on HER property. It happened here in San Antonio, some men were breaking in this guys house and the home owner shot them through his door, they werent physically in the house but it was considered self defense.

As I understand it you have to be trapped and have no escape. If your sister had a back door she could have ran out of to safety and not done that she could have been charged with murder(if she would killed them).

How could they break into my house if they are all the way out in Arizona? That's over 2,000 miles away. Boy, you are lousy at making up hypotheticals.
