Mmmm...so many people complain about my spell for Iraq...Sorry, my english is not good enough....hehehe...but in my languange, we always write it Irak rather than Iraq....soooo, I wasn't completely wrong, right.... :-)

Its Iraq, not Irak. Its been in the news everyday for the past 5 years. Anyway, yes, he is perfectly able to be in Iraq if he is between 18 and like 65, but he almost definitely isn't in a combat zone or a tough job anyway. They put the younger people in that position.

A soldier who had been discharged in 1996 was sent back to Iraq unknowingly by the military for a year. He didn't complain (I would have) and all he's asking for is active military pay.

He was in his 40's.

There are 50 year old and older in the marines, normally they are no longer in combat but in admin or some other non combat position.

could be....I know a COL in the Army who is 45-50ish and still goes out on missions with his boys. He isn't the kind to sit back at the FOB (forward operating base)in the A/C on his thumbs.

50 year olds can be in the corps, however he probly isn't involved in direct combat.
