Everything we do as men is to impress women, so they must rule, you always try to keep the boss happy. In thier wisdom though, they let us think we rule, so everyone is happy.

As time progresses, so do the standards of society toward men & women. Now it's a social norm to have a stay-at-home dad than that to a stay-at-home mom.
It's more acceptable to have a woman in a man's role & to have your spouse in a role once reserved to the fairer sex.
However having said that, there're those who're still traditional & prefer to have their women be home with their kids.
That's all well & good IF you could provide for the entire family. Otherwise face the wrath from an unfulfilled spouse, how else do you think Marc Cherry came up with the hit show, "Desperate Housewives"?!

I belive women have changed and society doesn't expect them to raise their kids like in the old days. I believe a man is the head of the family, but should partner with a women. Problem is, there is competition between them, and it makes it hard to run a family with both working and expecting the kids to raise themselves. What that saying means, is that if children are taught integrity by their mothers, her influence spreads for generations. I'm not sure it is happening anymore.

Oh it's definitely the hand that rock's the cradle. We women are smarter and in being such it's easier to let men believe that it's a man's world lest we have to not only rock the cradle but stroke their wounded egos as well.

Men are the head of the family, but women are the neck. They can make the head look wherever they want.
