The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Opportunities in Cad/Cam Careers by Jan Bone
* Computer-Aided Project Management by George Suhanic
* Tailoring AutoCAD by Ralph Grabowski – available for free download here: http://www.cad-cam-books.us/autocad_0001.php

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

First meet with a lawyer who handles businesses. You will have to file for a Federal ID and for state charter.

Then have a CPA who can help you with Finance.

Advertising and Marketing. Join a group that relates to your industry. Make contacts. Carry business cards with you. Help willcome from the most unlikely source. Be prepared.

Be prepared for people saying no. (This is the truth ). Set small goals and try to reach them. It is good to daydream but be realistic.

HeavyAss, simply cross in your neighborhood financial institution, they'll fall over themselves to deliver you £eight,000 in order that your can begin your enterprise with employees and your "skilled" consultant. So how come your "skilled" consultant isn't advising you on methods to get the £eight,000? I guess your consultant isn't as skilled as they declare to be.
