im 14, and 3 months, and am 5ft 9.5, about 5ft10, and i know thats average size for a man, and im taller than alot of the grown men i see. i looked at a percentile calculator, and it said i was between the 90th and 92nd percentile. i thought that was cool because my dad was at the 90th at my age, and when he turned 16 he was 6ft, and at the 90th. he grew till he was 25, and he is now 6ft4 or 6ft5. hope i turn out like him. anyway, is that tall. i know there are people taller, but taller than 90 percent of the population my age is pretty good. i heard the median height is 5ft5 for 14. i hit puberty at the same time as everyone else, i just got more noticeble results, as is typical of my family.
PS my moms family is average height, but she's 5ft2, however, i look just like my dad. dads family is normally like 6ft6, shortest people my dead great uncle at 6ft1, great uncle paul and great uncle jimmy 6ft10, people on mom, like my grandma(5ft7) and great uncle pat and chic(6ft) are tall.

Relax, bud, you'll be somewhere around 6'5" probably. Don't sweat it man. Height isn't everything, in fact it sucks sometimes. I'm 6 foot 6, and a lot of things in this world aren't made for someone as tall as that. Like beds, and car seats, and airliners, and doorways in old houses, and signs in stores, the lists go on and on. It would be nice to be about six inches shorter sometimes. However, chicks dig tall guys.

my son is 13 and is above the 95th percentile - which according to the Halls MD website - you may be above the 95th also (you didn't mention your ethnicity, so i can't say for sure). i'm a nurse and i prefer Halls' height/weight charts as he has specific charts for children, adults and different ethnic groups. and yes, you are tall for 14 :-) my family is much like yours. my mom's side is average height, but all the men are 6'6" and up.

yea dude you'll prolly be tall but i know people who's both parents are really short and they're like 6ft or taller and i also know people, like me who were really tall when they were younger but then stopped growing so now I'm taller then average but not as tall compared to everyone else as i used to be. you'll prolly keep growing tho cuz your dad did and it's like diarrhea, it runs in your genes (jeans).haha
