Do you have any idea at all of how many separate federal, state and local police forces there are in this country? Not to mention private security forces, the national guard, and four branches of the armed forces which ARE available for domestic police actions.
If anyone's interested (unlikely), I will hammer out my list of how many separate police entities there are currently operating in America. Thirty or so general types, and literally THOUSANDS of entities if they are named individually.
Everything from your library habits to your physical location (via your cell phone), internet activity, etc. is being monitored right now. And not in secret either. Because so many of you refuse to accept that this is happening, your government can do these things right out in the open. For example, the Patriot Act.
By the way, I'm a NYC lawyer, and I went to NYU. I do not live in a trailer, and I don't even have cable TV. I don't believe in UFO's. I'm not into conspiracy theories

I lived in and around the NYC area for the first half of my life.
The best advice I got was from a lady Dr. that I drove to N.Y.U. Medical Center some fifteen years ago. God Bless that Lady Doctor.
To answer this question without getting red faced and hot or off the deep end...
Maybe the existence of all these armed groups is why the economy is so healthy in America.
The only problem I see here is the high degree of arogance.
Why don't people take the time to map out plans for themselves or unite for worthy causes or join hands with their neighbors so they could understand each other more?
Seems everyone is getting more and more beligerent and looking to start fights (verbal or otherwise) with anyone.
Take the time to figure out who your enemy is.

Actually, I kinda wish we were a police state. If so, maybe 9/11 wouldn't have occured and the 12 million illegal immigrants could be located!

Just curious-how have they USED tis ionformation against you, or anyone you know? Or anyone on this site? They might be collecting this information on you (to see if you're al Qaeda) but I don't know anyone who has "disappeared" or anything.
So, if we're a "police state" I'm assuming that you mean we're comparable to other police states like Nazi Germany, Stalin's Russia, Pol Pot's Cambodia et al.?
It scares me that you're a lawyer.

No Sh@t Sherlock. So what's your point? Did you have to go to law school to figure that one out? This crap is been going on for years. Yes your beloved Bill Clinton did the same thing. The Dems have brought this out for political advantage, not because they care about the American public. What's your name? I need it so that I won't call you if I need legal assistance in NY. Time for you to chase another ambulance. Friggin idiot.

Your question is being monitored and your phone
is tapped. There is a video camera in front and
behind your residence, listening devices have
be planted in your house. When you are asleep,
they monitor your brain waves.
Don't worry everything will be removed within
the next five years.

There is alot of police and other law enforcement entities because there is alot of criminals. I would say there are more criminals than police. If you want to help, join them.
