That name is over the top. I have friend named Ashton, and when people hear her name they think she's a boy. Shaylee sounds like you made it up at the last minute. What about Shae or Ashlyn?

I think Shaylee sounds a bit stupid, to be honest, though I dont' mean to hurt your feelings. Ashton sounds like it could be a guy or a girl.
You will think of a name, and it will "feel" right, and if you put as much thought into raising the child as you do into coming up with a name, you'll be fine.
Good luck, and god bless.

Gosh! what a burden for your daughter to carry... Shaylee??? I kinda think old fasioned, simple name are the best. If you want something unique, how about Schyler?
But hey... I know preparation is good. But get a guy first loh....

If you don't mind that people will probably end up calling her Shay.
I'm not that crazy about Ashton. But it's not a bad name.
No one really liked the name that I picked for my son at first... but they got used to it. Just name her what you and your partner like... no matter what you pick there will be some people who won't like it.

It's ok...keep in mind that you may change your mind when you really are pregnant. My sister picked out a name for her firstborn and that's what we called the baby all through her pregnancy, then when the baby was born - surprise, totally different name! But the name fits her a lot better than what my sister had originally picked out (she's 16 now).

i don't like it much. think about what that name will sound like when your kid is 25 or 30 and looking for a job. if you can't live with your son or daughter having that name as an adult, don't do it.
strange or too ethnic-sounding names have been proven in studies by business schools and sociologist over and over to give employers bad impressions about a candidate.

Names mean something. Make sure whatever name you give your child is not just a jumble of letters. Is this a worthy name. What does it mean? Don't stick your child with something that you don't know what it means. Find out first. Maybe it's a combination of names.
