i'm a romantic and even i don't belive in such bull. I had the chance to read up on shakespears Romeo and Juliet and my lovers since tells me they died in lust (no love) and in the name of stupidity. The story wasn't all that farfetched thuogh, i know people that stupid (i.e. a parental unit that will not be named). I liked the story only becaus i adore love stories and people being devoted to some thing or some one so insaely that it drives them to kill. Love is an art that is expressed differantly by differint people, and i would like to hear these diferances for my self.
.... have a nice day =3.

Hell NO... it is lust at first site.. Love is the stuff that when the things get rough you stick it out and this takes years to acquire... When you first meet someone and think you are in lust (well you are only in it to see what you can get out of it for yourself..) Love on the other hand is (doing for others and expecting nothing back in return... If you find yourself in a situation like this then you can say that you are blindly in love.... like I have always said... In cave man days love was pronounced as Aaaagggguuuuhhhh... which is really what love is.... But a cave woman didn't like that sound so she come up with Love..... love makes people really stupid and it gives the person that we think we love the right to walk all over us....

I read the story too. And I totally agree with you. There is no such thing. People use the word "love" wrong today. Love at first sight doesn't mean they LOVE each other. They have a lust not a love. Most parents are a good example of true love. After all, they stayed together no matter what. Not just for you, but for themselves as well. Most movie stars and teenagers are a good example of "love at first sight". Doesn't last, does it?

I believe in infatuation at first sight. But not true love....love has to grow. That takes time. I am a romantic as well. Romantic love starts best as friendship...through spending time together....mutual respect and friendship grows....love is a very deep and confusing emotion. It can feel so good, and hurt so badly when it is over. Romeo and Juliet is just one example of adolescent love gone bad. There are many examples through out history where people have done crazy things for love...Van Gogh cut off his ear and sent it to his girlfriend. Research it, it is interesting reading. I am 43 years old and I don't know if I completely understand romantic love. I do understand the love of a parent for a child. That has to be the most intense, eternal loves that could ever exist. I wish you luck in your quest. From one romantic to another...never settle...always hold out for that relationship that takes your breath away and makes you the best you, that you can be.

Love takes time to develop. I don't believe in love at first sight. You may be captivated by someone at first sight, perhaps he's really cute, speaks very well, has a great sense of humor or has a great smile. Whatever the reason, you're captivated. You cannot love a person if you don't even know the person!

I believe in it because I fell in love with my husband the moment I looked into his eyes when we first met.

I never did, till it happened to me. That was two years ago, and we are now happily engaged.
