Home treatment:
don't smoke
take antacids
eat smaller, more frequent meals
no or very little alcohol
limited caffeine
avoid NSAIDs (non steroid anti-inflammatory drugs)

Medical treatment:
antibiotics, if warranted
histamine H2 acid reducers and proton pump inhibitors.
no NSAIDs (non steroid anti-inflammatory drugs: aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.)
limited caffeine
no or limitied alcohol
no smoking

There is no such thing as a fast treatment when it comes to peptic ulcer. The best thing is prevention.

To prevent further peptic ulcers:
don't smoke
avoid NSAIDS
limit alcohol
limit caffeine
and never, ever drink alcohol on an empty stomach.
