Totally untrue on both counts. Standard procedure for all senior government officials is to protect them in emergency situations like 9/11 (one of the first and worst attacks on American soil by terrorists in our nation's history), and the Secret Service agents are sworn to protect them and remove them from danger even at the cost of their own lives. Do you recall how those agents reacted in the case of JFK and Ronald Reagan?

No, I think I was concentrating more on the victims, their families, and how our country was going to get past the tragedy.
