Even if you dont consider it rude, you have to expect that in the future you obviously can expect no consideration, as he was in a movie, and his phone shouldnt have been on in the first place.
But even more importantly he proved that he isnt willing to focus his attention on you, are you a person that likes or needs attention? if so you can be assured that in this relationship you wont get it, because he will divert it away to what he feels is more important, and on this date it evidently wasnt you being the most important.

What a class act...I mean what a popular guy to be able to talk to 2 other people while being with you. I say never go out with this guy again. Seriously, why even ask...if he doesn't care enough to give you the few hours for a blind date, he isn't going to give you the time for anything.

Answering the phone while on a date is always rude, it is worse on a first date, and I would have left after the second call.
Sorry you got setup with a jerk.

Unless it was some crazy emergency situation or it was one of his children calling it was extremely rude.
Cell phones have been out long enough that we should all be aware of etiquette by now.

The only situation I can think of where it WOULDN'T be rude is if they say, "hey, I'm expecting a call from my father at the hospital to tell me how mom's lung operation went."
Otherwise it's just rude.

If he has kids and the kids needed him? Good reason to pick up the phone. If he's President of the United States? Let him take the call. If he's just talking to his homies? Dump that jerk right now! What an egotistical loser.
