No, the movie "The Passion of the Christ" is the depiction of the Crucifixion of Jesus.
It wasn't pretty, and he made an impact with that film.
It is probably the best Christian movie ever made.

noo.. hes just a very religious man, and wanted to give a good graphic, and REALISTIC, protrayal of the lord's crucifixion. as distrubing as it may have been, it is important that people see what he went through for us...

I think for the $$$ because we are in war and during hard times people look for God and He knew that.
