Where's the music!?

Exactly, wheres the M in MTV anymore? The most you really see is like 1 and a half mins of a video on any of their lame money making stretched out countdowns, and music you hear used as music beds under their shows. About the time your only going to get to see any actual MTV is if your up at 3am, and then they only have an hour block or so that keeps repeating itself over and over.
If you ask me, theyve totally screwed up the format. I actually refuse to watch it now-a-days unlike years ago when I actually did watch it.

MTV like it stands for should be Music Television, now, if you think of the word MUSIC, it would make sense if they ACTUALLY had music as part of their programming, well they don't and I absolutely hate it, I could care less about stupid people with stupid lives on stupid reality shows watched by stupid people that unfortunately keep their ratings up and therefore keep the music away from the channel. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way

I stopped watching MTV a long time ago. The music was lost on all the garbage content.
I watch the Tube now. The channel is new by a couple of the original founders of the MTV channel.
The Tube is all music videos from all decades.

Well they sometimes show music videos...no i don't hate MTV, i like the shows i mean sure Laguna Beach and Yo Momma don't have much to do with music but they are pretty entertaining all the same

Yes..it is so bad..I remember I couldnt wait to get MTV..it was the greatest channel when it came on the air...although it came out in 81..I lived in an area that probably didnt get it until 83..and that was all we watched after it did..the lasyt good show they had was Beavis and Butthead..since they ended , I mayhave watch MTV 10 times

I remember watching MTV's first ever broadcast and video. They had me at "Hello"
The sad reality is that todays MTV holds no comparison to the original. All MTV cares about is thugs, pimps & hiphop.

Does everyone know that the "M" in "MTV" stands for "Music"?
Long ago, they played music videos 24/7!! When they first started, they didn't even play commercials!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!

I am so sick of turning on the music channels and it's not a video playing. They should be like radio, very little talk and lots of music.

Yeah, and because they kissed the Red Hot Chili Peppers butt by giving them all those nominations! That wasn't even too great a video...
