No, it shouldn't result in the killing of all the Hezbollah because they should just unconditionally surrender to Israel. If they don't, then yes, all of them will be killed. Israel is a very small country surrounded, for hundreds of miles in every direction, by people that want to wipe it off the map, even if that means killing every last Israeli in the middle east. There will never be peace there as long as both opposing forces exist. But Israel isn't just attacking the hezbollah just to save a few men, the Hezbollah has been fighting the Israelis for a few decades now. The hostage situation just provoked a long delayed conflict. It's like when you're mad at somebody for something they did in the past but have no reason to just explode on them now, so you wait for them to provoke you, then you get revenge and tenfold of what they did to you. Not to mention the Hezbollah crossed the Lebanese border, killed Israeli soldiers, then took hostages. That right there is an act of war, not terrorism. If Israel just allowed this act to go unpunished, think of the message that would send to the 10 other neighboring countries that hate Israel's guts. So my answer is no, it's not worth killing an entire group of people, but unfortunately that's what will happen if the Hezbollah don't come to their senses and surrender. We all know what will happen if they don't, so by pursisting, they're just hurting themselves, as well as the innocent Lebanese citizens that get caught in the crossfire.

How "humorous"... Hezbollah are terrorists in accordance to three countries in this international, for something that is a resistance circulation... The Lebanese authorities, meaning the Lebanese PM,who's yet another comic tale...The Israeli infantrymen were on Lebanese territory at the same time as they were abducted...So if someone ought to come into my homestead with a gun,i does no longer invite him over to a espresso... I doubt that "the U.N. has stated Hezbollah needs to leave Lebanon."Hezbollah are Lebanese,Hezbollah is area of the Lebanese authorities... Hezbollah will disarm the instantaneous Israel isn't a risk to Lebanon...Is there any be sure that if Hezbollah disarms Israel gained't attack back Lebanon? Nope...Israel isn't respecting both the UN decision 1701 with suggestions from making raids over Lebanon...yet for Israel no longer respectin UN resolutions isn't something new...

I object to the wording of the question - it implies that the Israeli forces are killing Hezbollah and not other people. Hezbollah is a small organisation - a few hundred people. Given that the IDF have now killed more than 500 people, apparently without affecting the operations of Hezbollah, I think it's reasonable to suppose that the 500 people were not in fact vital to the operation of the terrorist group, ie the majority of them were innocent civilians.

Imagine there was a dangerous psychopath running loose in Manhattan - would you think it was an acceptable tactic to fire rockets to try and kill him?

I don't know if it's something to do with 'saving Private Ryan' but since that film there's been this fashion to 'not leave anyone behind'. It sounds very noble this strategy (though in truth it's only possible in asymetric warfare-where you've got thousands on your own side being killed the odd missing person seems much less important) but in practise turns out to be rather misjudged; the Israelites could probably have got their soldiers back simply by doing a prisoner swap with Hezbollah. Instead for the sake of a lot of macho hollywood style posturing, they have lost many soldiers and civilians in the ensuing conflict.

A war of this type where an enemy hides amongst civilians hoping to disuade the opposition from attacking is what you are seeing in Lebanon. Both side are sharing the blame for unnecessary deaths. The Isrealies need to keep to the high moral ground and mimimize as much as possible civilian deaths. They have appeared to give fair warning of their plans. The war will have to be over before we know the truth about what is happening.

NO I DO NOT. There is a reason the Hezbollah have done and will continue to do the things they do. Someone somewhere needs to show some courage and sit down with these people and LISTEN to them. If the bloodshed is to stop THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN!!!

How shameful act has this been? There is no doubt that there was no such thing in this most unfortunate act of Terror of Israel.I feel sad to see such cruel community who do not know any other language than Terror. The actual terrorists are Israeli ,Condi,Bush and Bliar. This has amply been proved in this crisis. The whole world is on one side and these four are on the other. The world cannot come to peace with these people at helm of affairs. They must be adjudicated.

I'm not sure your question is worded in a way I understand what you ask but..;/
Hezbollah wins anytime a Lebanese civilian is killed and anytime an Israeli is killed.
Notice the media and world does not react if an Israeli civilian is killed.
But the world and media go nuts if a Lebanese civilian is killed.

I don't quite understand you question, but let me try to answer as to what I understand you are trying to say with another question: Suppose that you have spotted the killers of someone very dear to you, in a crowd of people, whom on the other hand allegedly helped the killers committ all the gruesome acts, and you have the power to stop them from skipping town, what would you do? I'll make it a bit harder even, they have killed your mother and father, whom happened to be riding a public bus? Talk to yourself kid...Give yourself an answer...Take a deep breath and swalow this pill. It is reality food for intelligent thinking.VJC

Zionist lives have no value; those of the real inhabitants of Palestine and Lebanon do. The deaths brought upon by the armies of the evil Zionist state demand the absolute destruction of said false entity.

this war will destroy agressor . i think it is last days of israils army .cause nobody can afford a war with iran, syria ,lebanon. u need minimum 1 million army to control middleeast. i think only chinese army can handle it . to destroy hezbollah . you must be able to control iraq, iran, syria , etc . nobody can do it.so results will be very dissapointing for israel.it was big political mistake to go into war . it will make people more crazy and justify their actions.it looks like hezzbolah is supported by other powerfull countries which donot consider them as terrorists.
