Because alot of people have a misguided opinion that from the outside looking in preps have little or no problems. Money, friends, usually good grooming habits...that is the root of most kid's envy. Especially if you were a fat, discheveled awkward outcast like I was. The great thing is though, when you attend your HS reunion 10 years later 40 pounds lighter, and everyone else got fat, you get the last laugh! (Unless I gain it all back for the next ten)

Well, they advertise it on t.v. that preps are the mean, stupid people who know nothing besides how to flirt and stuff. I don't think preps are mean. I had to work on a project where you teach the class and i got partnered with one of them and she was so nice and she worked hard. She even got a higher grade than I did. lol they're nice and they shouldn't be hated.

No, people shouldnt hate people just by the way they dress, i mean i have preppy friends but there not mean, i know some preppy people who r mean but other people r too not just preps, but sometimes preps can get on my nerves but i dont hate them, hate has a strong meaning

i don't think everybody hates prep, but like there's been alot of stuff about them like legally blond, paris hilton, e.t.c. that maybe every thinks that prep are like that, and maybe not everybody can stand them. or maybe there just jealous because prep are good looking and have money, and have the perfect boyfriend or girlfriend (if ur a guy)!!!!! that's my opinion!!!!!

Yes because you preps seem conceited (notice how I said seem not are). That's the one thing that gangsters, rappers, ghetto wannabees, goths, emos, rockers and averages janes and joes have in common, that we can't stand preps.

I don't, but I get along with pretty much everyone. Alot of people don't like preps because they have a rep. of being rude, obnoxious, spoiled, egotistical, pig-headed, jerks.

u make everyone feel they dont try hard enough, women wouldnt feel comfortable dressing down around u and men the same thing.....and most dont find it right that men should work harder on their appearance than a women, men shouldnt take longer than 15 mins 2 get redy 2 go somewhere and it looks like u all took 15 hours.

im a half prep and pple hate u cuz they think ur all up in urself and only care about urself and full of it but pple dont consider that if they are thinking that about preps then they must be full of it too cuz labeling pple is wrong, seriously

No. That's not true. You just have to be more confident and let nothing that people say about you bother you. You will see a change in people's attitudes towards you once you gain your confidence.
