I don't have any suggestions such as pics for getting a tattoo, but consider this: are you willing to keep the same decor in your livingroom forever, never changing it, without the option to? Or wear the same outfit that you initially loved to begin with, to wear it forever? That is basically what you are doing when you get a tattoo; if it turns out the way you want it, you may like it for a while, but then, say your taste changes, you are stuck with it, over a large portion of your body. Of course, it is your choice, but women, especially, tend to regret their tattoos later on in life. The large tattoo you are considering getting sounds expensive. Why not take that money and buy yourself some really funky outfits, jewelry, or something that decorates you from the inside out, like a continuing education class, or take up sculpting, painting, or something like that...Although my answer is not exactly what you asked, I hope that it helps anyway:)

Let's ignore the tattoos are crass on women comment and move away from the change-phobic, conservative agenda.

If you are going to get a tattoo think of something that is truly important to you and be ready for the pain. A large tattoo depending upon how extravagant it is will take hours and hurt like hell depending upon your pain tolerance. When I got mine I designed it and it was something that I thought about for months.

Choose something that represents you, how you feel and think about whether it would be something that you wouldn't be ashamed of when you get older.

flowers are always nice. like start with a lotus blossom at the bottom and a coy fish up the side. it's a weird spot because it would wrap around giving some parts a weird look. but make sure it's what you REALLY REALLY want. cuz theres no going back once it's on there.

that's too big, whatever you choose it's going to be extravagant because of its size and you will feel bored with it soon.

why don't you do something very small ? it's going to be more cute.
