Well i can think of alot but if were just talkin football, Leaf was one of the biggest, Freddie Mitchell, Charles Rogers #2 overall Joey Harrington #3 overall 1998 - Terry Fair (over Randy Moss) Rick Mirer. Troy Aikman comes off the board first. Looking at the draft board we see all-world athletes Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas, and Deion Sanders. Oh the anticipation is too much which great talent will Green Bay select? Try Tony Mandarich, owch!
Akili Smith, Peter Warrick, Tim Couch, Curtis Enis, Rashan Salaam, Cade McNown, Marc Colombo, Walt Harris, David Terrell. the list could go on forever.....but i gotta say leaf and couch were big....but just wait.....im a huge 49er fan......and i just dont know about Alex Smith....very odd throwing motion, so he could soon be on this list, oh well 5 more bad years.......I think Owens broke a miror on the way out

Has to be Leaf. In a 25 game career he threw for 3,666 yards, 14 TD's, 36 INT's, had 23 fumbles, and a passer rating of 49 while completing only 48% of his passes. And just think he was just a nose hair away from being drafted by the Colts over Peyton Manning !!! Damn that was close !!!
And did you know he has a younger brother named Brady Leaf... he's a 6'5" 230lbs red shirt junior QB at Oregon. Let's just hope he can turn out better than big bro did !!!

Everyone's saying Ryan Leaf, whose certainly a great candidate, but let me throw out two names....Mike Williams, drafted by my then led-by-an-idiot Bills in 2001, who is a lock to get cut by the Jags. And Madden is going to give him a 82OVR. Suuuure. Oh, and Tony Mandarich, especially considering the 2 players selected on either side of him were greats...if I remember correctly. Oh, and Maslowski, a bust QB who was picked before such QBs as Dan Marino, John Elway, and Jim Kelly, if memory serves, which it often doesn't...

For the eagles, Freddie Fred-ex Mitchel. Also, Mike Mamula - 1st round pick, big hype and I don't know if he had more than 2 sacks in any season. Every other play he almost had half a sack. Then he goes and exposes himself at a bar or something - class act.
