Now that Yahoo Answers has been up for sometime, I am curious - What have you learned from your experience here? What will you come away from Yahoo Answers with?

A greater understanding of the world around you or other cultures? An insight into what people are talking about? A surprise and wonder at the diversity in our midst? Anything?

I learned it clearly takes all kinds to make the world go round. We don't have to like it or agree with it, but we all need to learn to live with each others differences. Something I think is a lot easier said than done for most people.

I've learned that there are some really big jerks out there - or should I say that my notions have been confirmed. From what I've read, people would rather ask a question and have answers given to them than look it up by doing a google search themselves. (I have answered those questions by do a google search for information if I didn't know about it.) I see a lot of diversity, a lot of people who can't spell (there's spell check in the answers box for pete's sake!), and a lot of people with a lot of time on their hands that think up really stupid questions. I also see genuine people seeking genuine answers and opinions. It takes all kinds to make the world go around and Yahoo answers brings everyone out into the open. It's sometimes easier to type anonymously than to ask in person.
