when a flemish giant rabbit is put to sleep, where does the injection go?

Ear, foreleg, or inside of hind leg, depending on what the person giving the injection is most comfortable with. Sometimes they use gas though.

There are normally only two areas that rabbits are given injections. One is an injection going just underneath the pelt behind the ears. The other is an injection into the back of the rear leg, directly into the leg muscle. Since this is an injection to put the rabbit to sleep, I'd recommend injecting directly into the muscle in the back leg. Be careful on the back leg though. There is a nerve in the back leg that you don't want to hit. It's best to have a veterinarian show you.

Whenever an animal is put to sleep with an injection, it goes into a vein, typically in a front leg.

I've never had one of mine put to sleep but I would say that they would put it in the muscly part of his rump where most other shots are given.
