I like Rap music... But some of the songs i cant listen to...specially if they arent clean... Some songs are just nasty...I mostly listen to Rap..and im not complaining...cuz i listen to it alot...But just asking...Do you ever look at the lyrics to some songs...and feel kinda disgusted?

I like a lot of rap music too, and i think the reason a lot of people don't like it is because they haven't listened to the actual lyrics. I'm not talking about the dirty nasty stuff, the real stuff about what a hard time black people have had in america and how they want a fair deal. So apart from the music being cool, most of the time the lyrics are telling a real story although sometimes they're hard to understand in a fast rhyming way. I look up some songs on google and I can find the lyrics to read. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth. See ya!

Yes I do and I question the lyrics to these songs, especially for young teens. Many promote violence and much more. That is why many parents and guardians need to intervene when rap music promotes unhealthy behavior to our children.

Yep, it's been nasty for about 16 years now. Boycott or tune it out and enjoy it anyway.
There are non-gross and sexist rap artists too, definitely worth looking into.
Remember if you disagree with their message and you give them $ by listening and buying, you're telling them it's okay.

Yes I do. It's sad that so much work into these musical landscapes for someone to come speaking a not so popular dialect of English plus nasty words. How he went to jail and selling dope and so and so forth... I want to hear something happy that will make me wanna dance or something.

actually i listen to rap and look at da lyrics and to b truthful to me it don't realli mean anything its just words to me not about me and yes this is just my opinion

Todays rap lyrics are stupid as hell, but if you look at Public Enemy, KRS-ONE, Nas, Common, Wu Tang Clan lyrics, they really make sense...

shock and awe. that is the whole tactics of rap artists and women fall for it. rap has become dumb and stupid.
there was a time when rap was cool with its rebelious attitudes but now....all gone. sad.

I like rap and i have looked at some of the lyrics and some of them r nasty but tha is wat rapper know it is there art and the way they may feel at tha time.
