Chipper Jones is on the bubble, he's 34 with 1914 hits and 346HR, BA-305 OB%-402 SLG-539...If he has 5 or 6 more years like he is putting together this year, then yes he has a chance. My feeling is that no, he will not, too many little injuries and he's not likely to put up the kind of numbers he is this year, for much longer...Chipper is not a good defensive player, so that will not help him...

i imagine he's on %. to be a borderline participant. the ny bias will probable damage him, because if Chipper Jones spent maximum of his occupation as a Yankee, then he'd have a significantly better risk than he does in the present day. he's not any longer precisely a loved discern in ny, so as which will damage him. I worry that with suggestions from the time his occupation ends, his numbers will be devalued because the steroid era has ruined the homestead run numbers for each individual. i imagine Chipper needs yet another championship ring, and under no circumstances merely that, he needs a incredible playoff overall performance to get there. something like which will supply Chipper some better notoriety, because he's very quiet in the present day. Chipper will be conventional, even if, as an striking crew participant, being keen to regulate positions and restructure his settlement with a view to provide the crew with a significantly better risk to win, yet regrettably it would not look major to the corridor voters to play the game the right way.

No. Chipper Jones was never a top flight defensive third baseman. It wasn't until recently that he started to play well at that position. In fact, he was moved to the outfield in part because of his lack of skill at the hot corner. His offensive numbers are ridiculous when he plays, but unfortunately he seems to land on the DL every year. If this guy could play consistently, there is no doubt that his numbers would be Hall worthy. Unfortunately, injuries have kept us from seeing his true potential and will probably also keep us from seeing him in the Hall.

as much as I hate Larry Jones..I believe he needs to put in 3-4 more years with the same type of numbers..his hit,HR, and RBI totals are still a little below Hall numbers..he needs to be over 2500 hits, 1200 RBIs..homeruns, he is probably high enough already, I belive he is in the mid 300s

No.... I can think of a dozen active players that have much better qualifications for the H/O/F. Chipper barely makes the top 20.
Plus, he is a very obnoxious, self indulgent prick in real life.

NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. CHIPPER HAS BEEN THE SPARK PLUG IN ALL THOSE BRAVES' CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS.
HE WILL BE INDUCTED, MAYBE NOT ON THE FIRST BALLOT, BUT HE WILL GET THERE.
I LOVE TO WATCH HIS DEFENSE ON THE CORNER, BUT I CAN REMEMBER WHEN HE GALLOPED AFTER LONG FLIES IN LEFT FIELD.
CONSISTANT BATTING NUMBERS, NOT GREAT ONES, BUT CONSISTANT.
AIN'T BASEBALL THE BEST DANG GAME?
