Laser is probably out of allignment. Call nintendo, they're very good about those kinds of things.

He probably knocked the lens that reads the disc out of alignment, if not breaking it all together. Either way it's a serious mechanical problem that you won't be able to fix on your own. Sounds like some anger management for your brother is in order... After he buys you a new Gamecube. For as cheap as they are, getting it repaired would cost more than a new system (or if you're in need of a bargain, try Craig's List or the local video game store for a used/refurbished system). Sorry for the bad news!

Do what I do, save the box. I've had 3 gamecubes, and they all go bad after about a year. Luckily it seems to happen around Christmas, so I just take the gamecube back in it's box, and say I got it as a gift. They exchange it, and I'm set for another year.

Your moronic little brother most liekyl broke the laser device in the Gamecube. You might actually have to get a new Gamecube.
Seriously, kill the little bastard. He is obviously too stupid for this world if he can't beat those 2 easy bosses in SSBM.

Slap your brother, first for being an idiot for breaking your stuff, then for not being able to beat the hands.
Then, go to a pawn shop. Gamecubes (because they suck) are very cheap now. Less than $100.

Hey, I hate to be the one to break the news but when this happened to ours we sent it out for repair and they couldn't fix it. We ended up having to buy another one. With the new machine coming out at Xmas time though you may not want to buy a brand new one, you can always pick them up on ebay pretty cheap though. Good luck.

Use a disk cleaning CD, or get some compressed air and hit the laser.
Good luck/.

Hit it again, lol. Maybe it will work. If not, with the cheap price of Game Cube these days, might as well buy a new one or a used one.
