what did you do when you got to the oil site

You are supposed to go to an oil field according to some people on the NBC blog site; and after pulling oil cans with a chain find the clue there? I'm still stuck in the bottom left part of the crypt trying to figure out how to open the gate in front of one of the openings????
I figured out the globe coordiannce and got the second policy. *sigh*

When I got to the oil city site, I just opened my backpack and clicked on the chain, and then clicked on it again when it was out of the backpack...it hooked itself to the truck and the truck moved away from a door.
