The ticket is $40, I am a poor student, and I just moved out here on my own. I know I will never do it again after this. I realize I made a mistake, and am willing to pay for it, but that is just a little too steep for me. I need a good excuse, or good wording to write an appeal. or do you think it isn't worth my time to do that and just fork over the money.

Pay the ticket and don't do it again. People disobeying parking regulations cause a lot of problems for people that need a spot. While $40 is a bit steep, if you don't have a legit excuse. I would just cough it up to experience.

1. Your friend was choking on some cafeteria something or rather and you stopped to give her the Heimlich maneuver. Bring a friend with you that can fake a "near death experience" look. Also bring the piece of food she coughed up.
(The idea here is 2 liar's are easier to believe then one) Unless your last name is Bush.

2. OMG I think I'm pregnant, I spent most of the day throwing up in the men's room. I was confused too! I'm so stressed out. How can I tell my parents? CRY while holding your stomach and try to make it protrude a little.(This is the classic "sympathy lie")

3.I'm a poor student and I just moved out here on my own. I know I will never do it again after this. I realize my mistake, and am willing to pay for it, but $40 is a little too steep for me. CRY CRY CRY, you can't cry too much in these situations! Heck, this one made me cry!

OH, I just realized you just want to write an appeal. HMMMMMMM
Sorry

the best thing to do here is just admit you were wrong and assure the people you will not do it again. dont be a smart alec and try to "get out of it" with a bad excuse or "good wording" let them know that a fine is not a good option for you. come up with some good alternatives pickin up garbage around the school, help in the library, Im sure you have something to offer!

Ya im not sure you can get out of that, i say admit it. But on for future reference, one of my friends has an orange piece of paper in his car and he printed newspaper delivery on it and he parks wherever and puts it in the windshield and never gets a ticket ever....so....if you get many parking tickets that might be a helpful hint, if you dont mind being a little dishonest.....
