No. Phil Nierko, Jesse Orosco, Carlton Fisk, and Carl Yastrzemski played baseball into their mid-40's. Age isn't the big issue as much as is David Wells in shape. David Wells needs to take better care of himself.

I don't know if it is so much age as other factors such as weight, health,pitching style, etc. It is a multitude of factors working together that are going against him and making him pitch horribly. One thing is for sure, he isn't the pitcher he used to be and he probably never will be again.
