Would you believe that I had to pay. Not just for me but for most of the party. Is that not crazy? It really pissed me off and I told them all that if I am going to throw my own party next year I am not going to bother.

Did they tell you that before they took you out of after? Has this ever happened before?

I don't blame you for being angry. On YOUR birthday, THEY should be treating you, not vice versa. Also, it was their idea to take you to dinner, so they should foot the bill.

is this what you meant about bringing finances to the table? well i see your delema now. but it is your family and they just wanted to celebrate your b-day so as to show that they did not forget you.
but.... you know them better than we do.
