"Mony Mony" This song was written and recorded originaly in the 60's by Tommy James and the Shondels and then re-recorded by Billy Idol in the 80's. That's probably the one you like. A lot of people have covered Tommy James' songs. Including "Crimson and Clover" covered by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (of "I Love Rock'n'Roll fame) and "I Think We're Alone Now" Covered by Tiffany, both in the 80's.

Money money was originally done by Tommy James and the Shondels in the 70's
Billy Idol did a remake in the 80's

The song is "Mony Mony", redone by 80s rocker Billy Idol. It truly escapes me who did it originally. I'm not a huge Billy Idol fan, but I do recall he fondly liked the song......because it was on the radio in the room the moment he lost his virginity to a very lovely high school sweetheart.
