i do know that if a parent reports their child is missing the store will announce a code & lock all the doors.this is to try & prevent anyone with the child from leaving.

So if there's an emergency and they have to lock the store or if the employees needed to leave they can lock it. It's a door and most come with locks. That's an interesting question though.

Good question!!

But I know like Super Walmart, they are closed only on on christmas and also if they need to close down because of the power being off, I guess they need locks.

Our walmart also locks one door at night so everyone has to use the one door instead of the two doors.

They have locks in case of emergency. If the store gets robed they will lock the door after the robbery. The store also locks up in a natural disaster if they have to evacuate.

If the store was robed, they lock the doors so the bad guy cant get back in. if there was a hurricane, or tornado, you might lock your doors.... maybe they really do lock the doors when were not looking, or sleeping lol

In the event they need to close down such as a remodeling or repair or such. or maybe if they need to sell the place, the next owner might appreciate locks lol.
