breaking a persons trust is a big thing that can cause damage to a relationship. stuff that makes the relationship uncomfortable can also me damaging.

there are so many ways a person can cause damage to a relationship.. the more common ways are lying, cheating, being physically abusive to your partner (hitting them), being mentally abusive (saying mean things or putting them down all the time)
there are is a book i suggest you read to learn more about relationships.. Its called "10 things couples do to mess up their relationships" its written by Dr. Laura Slessinger.. It is one of the best books that can give you a good perspective on what damages a relationship... good luck

when you hurt your partner with either lies, cheating or anything that will affect them emotionally. these issues may cause a lack of trust. if there is no trust; then the relationship will suffer therefore be damaged.
