i was wondering what happen to that question you posted a few days ago. well, if you would read(maybe you have already read) the yahoo q and a guidelines, it would be considered to them that you were chatting with others on yahoo. i don't think they should be so strict on some things here. none of your q's that i have answered are offensive so i see no reason why they would be deleted. the q's that should be deleted are the nasty ones asking about sex, dirty things like that, etc.

People report that stuff because we get tired of the boards being taken up by meaningless, pointless garbage. If you want to chat, go to a chat room. Simple as that. By the way, I have asked 25 questions and answered more than 500... and I've never been reported. Just try to be helpful and don't talk a bunch of childish nonsense.

I can relate. Someone reported me once because I asked the question "Would you IM me?" Her post said something like "why can't minors learn...?" and said that she reported me. She just assumed that I was a minor. Well, I'm not. And that was so unfair that she reported me. Since I knew that she did that, I went and reported her. I'll report anyone back if they report me 'cause I think that was unfair and totally rude. I've reported a couple of people because their post was way out of line disgusting. If I don't like what someone says in a post or if I think it's disgusting or stupid, I usually reply back and tell them that or move on. I'll only report it if I think it's way out of line. And I don't think I should've been reported for the question I posted because anyone can go to your profile and send you an IM theirselves, so I don't think it should be a violation. Plus, I haven't used a IM much, so I kinda wanted someone to IM me. If she didn't like the question I posted, then she should've just moved on and forget it and not report me because of some silly question. And personally, I don't really care about the rules. If it's something out of line, then they can report someone, but if it's something tiny or something like that, then no one should report what you post in an answer or question. I think some people just report others because they want to pick on them or they think it's funny to report. But I don't think you should have gotten reported for the questions you asked. People should report the fake Edna's for their stupid and smart-αss remarks. I mean, the whole Edna thing happened like 2 weeks ago. Can't we just forget about it and move on? But some people obviously can't do that.

that seems unfair. I can't believe that Yahoo is just on automatic and anyone who gets reported, even for doing nothing like you, gets in trouble. i was under the impression that actually humans check into stuff. Since you are thankfully still here, you probably didn't really get into much trouble. Yes, some people can be pretty rotten. best wishes and best of luck!

Well...that's kind of not a real question. You're not supposed to ask those kinds of questions for some reason. I read it in the rules awhile ago but I forget what it said.

What color is your toothbrush???? That seems to me a legit question. Tame even.
Whoever reported you for that question was out of order, and reported you to cause a commotion, and see how you will react.
He/she is probably a bored, young, whippersnapper...and did I say bored and young????
Please don't let this stop you from asking questions. If you do, he/she wins...and that would be awful.
Hugs

do yourself and everyone else here a favor and read the TERMS OF SERVICE. You will be reported if you violate the terms of service. Y!Answers is not a chat room.

Oh yeah, I know why. Some people, and Yahhoo! consider that to be a bit too converstaional & chatty, in which case they can report you (which I think is ridiculous, but what can ya do?).
