I don't really have a favorite group. There are many I love to listen to...The Doors, Pink Floyd & Metallica to name just a few.
As for singers, Joe Satriani..who is a guitarist who plays nothing but instrumentals, but can convey more emotion through his songs than any singer ever could.

RUSH is my fav band and their singer is Geddy Lee.
I like Creed who's singer is Scott Stapp.
Alter Bridge rocks too with Myles Kennedy.
Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder are kick as*.
Shinedown and Brent Smith are great too.

Corey Taylor of slipknot. Has a really deep voice when he yells and stuff, but can also sing. Jeffrey Moreira of Poison the Well is the same way.

It's too many out there..I guess I like Green Day the most..and the singer I like is Alicia Keys. It's too many talented artists to choose from.
