A barebones computer does not ususally include a hard drive, memory (RAM), keyboard/mouse, or monitor. All of these are needed to work. Barebones computers are used to build custom PC's and usually include a tower, motherboard, and CPU. This one looks like it has a video card as well (not a very fast one though, i'd go with a 256MB).
If I were getting a barebones to build a custom PC I would get a dual core motherboard.

Put a link to the eBay page in your post. We're not going to try and guess what you're talking about.
If it's a barebones, it doesn't have any RAM. No Hard drive. No CD or DVD drive. And no OS. So, out of the box, it's not going to do anything until you add those things.

I do not know exactly what your question is but that PC your describing is a great PC but its falling behind. I got rid of my 3.5Ghz PC because it was falling behind. But I use PC's for extreme gaming. I went and got a $700 video card and I got one of the best mother boards available to me for $1600.
INTEL P4 HT 3GHz / 64MBVIDEO/6-CHANNEL SOUND/BAREBONES I think that's worth about $500-$1000 for a PC depending on what other hardware it has. I could be wrong because I do not know what a 64MBVIDEO/6-CHANNEL SOUND/BAREBONES is but I do know 64MB of video memory is bad for to days world.
My video card has dual 512MB for a total of 1GB. Plus its hot fast. I mean hot without liquid cooling my rig would fry. My video card also has an external power supply but I do not use it because I got way more then enough power on my internal power supply.

what you need to do before you buy anything off ebay is check the rating of that person, look for negative feedback, see if others have gotten their computers. That's very important, if you see a score of 98.9 that's a little ok but it you see a 97.2 or lower..DO NOT BUY.
I have sold on there for years.

hey, just remember, you always have yahoo answers to look up when you can't start it, did you at least check the operating system??? and whether or not it comes with one........? I don't see enough info here to tell whether or not it will start when you hook it up, and if your going to re-direct us to another page for information at least leave a link to the page it's on please...........

the processor will be outdated very soon, other than that it sounds pretty good. make sure you check the seller's rating and their review.
