during my "time of the month" I had a little accident while I was unable to change my jeans and wash them. I tried to wash them twice and unfortunately, there is still an ugly rust color stain where the blood was. is there anything that I can put on it that will get rid of it and save my jeans or are they done for?? I know this is a gross subject but being a woman I think we've all been there some time in our life!!

First, don't put them into the dryer until the stain is gone -- let it air dry. Second, I'd try directly soaking the stain in a liquid detergent before putting it in the wash. Sometimes washing your jeans multiple times will get it out. Good luck!

my husband got this stuff called purple power at the dollar store to clean shop floor with. It should work on your jeans. I know this cause my 8 year old got a bloody nose and the blood got all over his shirt. my husband washed and dried the shirt and set in the stain. I sprayed it down with straight purple power and the stain came right out. Its between 4 and 5 dollars a gallon and is a lifesaver.

Try everything--with plenty of time for presoaking and letting the stain loosen before washing.
Peroxide, shout, detergent straight onto it full strength, clorox 2, Carbona stain remover, borax --an all out assault, Then, making sure it stays wet, let all that have at least 10 minutes to work.
For some reason, this only happens in our favorite jeans!

THIS WORKS:
1.) Make a paste out of meat tenderizer and a little water.
2.) Scrub mixture into stain with an old toothbrush.
3.) Allow to set for a while or possibly over night.
4.) Launder as usual.
This works for any type of ORGANIC stain.
GOOD LUCK!!

You have to soak and wash everything in COLD water - and not put it through the dryer, until the stains come out. I don't think Oxy Clean or peroxide are going to save your jeans if you used hot water or dried them in the dryer. you can try it though.
EEEEEK! There's a man in here! ;)

Try baking soda. Wet the jeans with cold water. Pour a little baking soda on the stain and rub in. Rinse and pour a little laundry detergent on them and wash in cold water. This works best if you do it when it first happens but good luck. Or you could pour a little Clorox Bleach for colors let it sit for alittle bit then wash in cold water.

I would put them in the machine with "Tide" and cold water and let them aggitate just a couple of minutes and then let them soak over night in the machine.....then the following day, go ahead and finish the cylce. Whenever I have anything that is stained, this is what I do....it always works! Good Luck!
Don't use hydrogen peroxide....it will bleach them out!

there are blood removers you can get at the store in the laundry section, but the best thing i can tell you is never ever use hot water on any protein, especially blood, it sets it forever, so if you have an accident again, soak the jeans in cold water before you launder them. you could try oxy clean but i really dont know if it would work.

Put on some Shout and scrub with an old toothbrush. Wash them in cold water with a little Oxyclean added. That should do the trick.

Add some table salt to cold water and let your jeans soak. It should hopefully lift the stain.
I often use this, the salt even works on lifting red wine from white carpet!
