It depends on what the eperience is. If it is life changing....for the better of you soul, mind or heart......then yes....if it is for gain later on in life you have to list a whole lot of other questions about the pro's and cons and make your decision. You are still very young.

If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to.
Dorothy Parker (1893 - 1967)

You have to come up with your own answer, but for me, I would go for the life long dream. Life is an adventure, take a chance, 28 is not old. Having a bunch of money is safe but your heart will always have an empty space and you will spend a lifetime wondering what it would have been like if you took the other path. You know what will happen if you get a lot of money, you'll buy a bunch of cool stuff, that's so predictable! Boring if you ask me. Anyways, if you do your life's dream, you never know where it will take you. Unless you're signing up for the military, you can always change your mind and go for the money if things don't work out. Good luck!

Life experience is worth more than money at any age. In the end, it's the only thing you are assured to keep until you die. Dreams can be lost, but Go for the long life dream anyway to keep with you always in order to make sense of your life experience. And dreams can change, but your life experience only expands.

I think:
There are life experiences worth more that money at ANY age and every age. The life experiences should increase as one gets older. But, this part is weired..and that is at 28 I want to work and work so hard not because of money but because of what I want to do which is research and lol money comes with it..so at 28 I think money comes around but use the money to get life experiences.

Well here's what I think, at 28 if you're not in debt go for the gusto. Do some traveling in the USA as well as foreign countries, be careful when you are alone in a strange place. When you are out after dark try to find another couple to walk with, an older couple will probably understand. When you get older it takes lots longer to realize your dream due to life's extra baggage you must begin to carry as you go. When you are young you can still volunteer for the peace corp or habitat for humanity, something like that. I went back to college after starting my family, and w/out regrets I spent 19 long years getting my AA degree going part time in the evenings, do you realize how long that is for a two yr. degree? When it came time to graduate I went full cap& gown, no regrets. Go for it while you still can!!!

Aging Baby Boomer says follow your life long dream. It might take "forever" and might have to be modified here and there, but when it is all accomplished, it will have been worth all the struggle and trouble you had to go through to do it. You're still relatively young and the world of possibilities is wide open for you. You have to use you mind to make things happen your way. Never lose sight of you goal. It can be done. You are a winner. Keep on "taking care of business".

The love of money is the root of all evil. Not the money in and of itself, but the LOVE OF MONEY is the root. So simple pull out the root and there will be no evil in money. Now with that being said, I have made this mistake, and although the higher paying job led to certain luxuries and a mistaken sense of security, it ultimately did not serve in much capacity for the desire of the fulfillment of passion, which is the true happiness in life. One always has the option to barter, but when the price one pays is at the expense of happiness and a diminshing passion is the result, what purpose has the money truly served?

Life experience is always better than money.... at any age! If you feel you're ready for whatever the dream might be, yeah why not? But also be aware of this..... There's an extremely fine line when dreams can become nighmares! Are you ready for that as well???

It depends on the amount of experience, and by all means go for your dreams before you are too old. After you are old and look back upon life's experiences and realize that you never followed any of your dreams, it will be a sad experience.

when you die, are people going to say, Wow! She was a good structural engineer. Or are they going to say, Wow! She helped people in need, lived a honest life, was always happy and outgoing.

You need money to live. Consider money just the baseline. Your life and experiences are the jewels. Balance accordingly to sustain a life without worries so that you can concentrate on LIVING Life, not working.

I think every person has to decide this for themselves. Lots of money can enable you to have more experiences, and more experience can enable you to have more money.

I view experiences as more valuable than money, since money is only a means to an end. But one of those ends could be more experiences, so money is not necessarily worth less than experiences alone.
