You may be pregnant and just didn't have a high enough level of human Chorionic Gonadotropin(hormone produced by placenta which makes preg test positive) to trigger the test within the usual time frame; however, it also could be the way that test reacts over time, so you really need to test again either way in order to be sure of the result. Some brands indicate that an "evaporation line" will appear if the test is left to sit. Generally speaking, you should not rely on any positive result that does not show up within the time limit stated in the test instructions. All brands have the possibility of an evaporation line or chemical line.

If there is a really faint line, it is positive. My first child, it showed up right away, and there was no doubting it, but with this pregnancy, It barely showed up at all, and I went to the doctors that day to make sure, and they said the same thing: a line is a line. So Congratulations!

Possibly, but sometimes the tests are bad, so try taking another one and see, if you're still confused. Go buy the digital ones that way there is no question it will display words , no funky symbols or lines. It was so much easier...

Take another test in the morning it may help. If you have a pos+ then you pregnant!!

yes. take it again better to know then follow up with a check-up. believe me i got a negative when i was positive and girl friend got pregnant on depo! good luck!

if you can visually see a cross even tho its faded, its still positive, but take another in a couple days to be safe

You are pregnant but take another test first thing in the A.M. to be sure.

Yes, take another. It could be an evap line. www.peeonastick.com is the best site I found to help me differentiate between my imagination, evap lines, and positives.

i have heard that even if the line was faint, you are pregnant . wait a few days then make sure that you take it in the morning.

My wife and I went through trying to figure out these tests once.
Our solution...go buy one with the digital readout (Sorry, I don't remember the brand name)
