I'm on penicillin and take the pill. I just want to know if anyone has been in this situation and been sexually active without using a 2nd method of birth control? Though wouldn't that just be a condom? What other methods are there?

be smart - i know people who didn't believe antibiotics lessen the effects of the pill. they do. use a comdom.

That's why when the doc asks u if ur taking anyother meds u tell him what ur taking and he could have gave u something elses

you HAVE to ask your pharmacist if you have to use a 2nd protection with antibiotics...a lot of them changes the efficacity of the pill

Your doc should have told you that penicillan makes b.c. less effective.
