I absolutely despised the unrelenting, poorly aging cheesiness of Disneyland, but I hear Disneyworld is completely different. Is this a myth spread by the Mouse Lovers?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't like underwater rides where you can see the strings holding the fading plastic fish ... and I'm not a Disney character fan in general. If Disneyworld has good rides, I'll be okay.

Sorry, I don't find hope and faith in rampant consumerism and a whitewashed, sanitized world - and if you've ever worked for Disney, you know just how much they're about tolerance. Rides are not my thing in general; just hoping for something to enjoy there.

Walt DisneyWorld (WDW) is, IMHO, much different from Disneyland. At WDW there are four parks, not just the Magic Kingdom (if you hate Disneyland, don't go to the Magic Kingdom park at WDW). There are also water parks, resort hotels, and the fact that it's not set in the middle of three billion tourist traps helps, IMHO.

You might, but really I don't find it worth your time or money, and this is coming from me, disneyinfo... so really, I love Disneyland more than any place on Earth, but the beauty of life is everyone is different. I enjoy Disney parks because they are about history, education, the understanding and tolerance of every culture and every part of humanity. There is hope and faith. It's somewhere where a person can find eternal things. But if going really fast on big pieces of metal (rides I enjoy as well, don't get me wrong) is more your speed, I say, "Life is too short to waste time somewhere you don't want to be." Go somewhere like Cedar Point, or Universal. Hopefully, you can find a good time there, and I will love Disneyland, and everything it stands for!

Well I am sorry to hear that you don't like Disneyland but to each their own....Disney world is fast and busy...there's Epcot center which has a lot of non Disney attractions as well as Animal Kingdom and Disney MGM has some really awesome attractions like several roller coasters....you have to go on Mt. Everest if you go to the Animal Kingdom No Mickey Mouse on that attraction LOL....I wish I would have known you didn't like Disneyland cuz I work there and I would have tried to make your visit better so I hope you enjoy the Magic Kingdom

Hmmm, Disneyland is well kept. I'm not sure exactly what you are not liking. I am pretty sure if you think you're going to hate it -then you're going to hate it. Disneyland could fit in the parking lot for the Magic Kingdom and still have room for 500 cars. So there is a HUGE size difference. Many of the rides are the same.

I love Disney World, well not World exactly, I like MGM Studios and Epcot Center and all of that but nothing compares to the Universal parks in Florida. Hands down, they win my family's vote every year because their rides and entertainment is more original. Not to mention that they are glad you stopped for a visit- Disney is so self-absorbed they don't care if people are passing out in the heat, they don't put up misters or fans or TVs for the kids to watch while standing in three hour lines. They don't thank you for spending your life savings at their parks or welcome you back next year.... UNIVERSAL DOES!

The whole point of Disney is to have that "perfect" world for just a little bit so if you hate that...then you prolly won't like Disneyworld either...

I've never been to Disneyland, but I've been to Disneyworld and I love it. They have something for everyone... ranging from huge rollarcoasters with loops to baby rides.

I don't like Disneyland either. I think Disneyworld would be a little more appealing.
