I would say there can be, but it's like if you steal from or cheat on others, you can become paranoid that others are stealing from you or cheating on you. That is you project your personality on others, mostly because you know yourself more then you know any one else. It doesn't always work that way, some people I think may have an subconscious understanding of the difference between people. Or that they realize the flexibility of people to adapt and change roles.

No not really. My perception of "others" is solely based upon an individual input/output. I do seek out and enjoy like minded people and typically they me. But my perceptions (of anything) are not catagorized into such loose terms as "others". I know who and what I am.... Most of what I've experienced in my life to this point with other people, I am not like the majority. That simply means that I'm different than most and has nothing to do with my perception of self or them.

You are what you see the world to be.
So, if you hate yourself, you will automatically feel that no one loves, and everyone hates you. The world is only a reflection of the way you perceive yourself. And to change the world around you, you just have to change the way to see yourself, love yourself and you will only meet loving people, remain spiteful and you will meet spiteful people, you have the power to create your reality, so choose wisely.

I believe there is.... and the fact there are parables and sayings to that effect would lead me to believe that it is widely held to be true.
